Daniel Defense

History Daniel Defense was founded in 2000 by Marty Daniel.

Mr. Daniel began Daniel Defense to provide readily-available, quality small arms products in the commercial market.

After a few years of concerted effort to providing premium quality and the best value small arms parts to the commercial market, Mr. Daniel’s M4 Rail™ was adopted by the United States Army Marksmanship Unit, for the Designated Marksman Rifle Program.

Once this contract was won and Daniel Defense began delivering against it, Mr. Daniel and his team took a crack at the coveted United States Special Operations Command SOPMOD contract. Daniel Defense was recently awarded the sole source contract to produce the RIS II for the SOPMOD block II. With all of Daniel Defense’s military business, Daniel Defense still has Mr. Daniel’s initial vision of providing top quality products at an awesome value to the commercial market at the core of our company’s values.
