500 Denier Cordura

500 Denier Cordura is a nylon-based material that uses domestically spun Invista yarn and is ideal for products that need to be durable and lightweight. This fabric of choice for the IOTV, MTV and the OTV has a tighter weave and is 35% lighter (per sq. meter) with the same weight to strength ratio as 1000D. Exceeds MIL-C-43734D for breaking strength, tear resistance, dimensional stability, Infrared Reflectance (dependent on pattern), and water resistance.
